Delete Locations

Delete Locations that are no longer needed to maintain an accurate organizational structure. When you delete a Location, EmpowerID automatically deletes all child locations beneath it in the hierarchy.

⚠️Deletion Impact

Deleting a Location removes it and all child locations from the system. Business Role and Location combinations using this location will be affected, potentially removing access for assigned users. This action cannot be undone. Ensure all users and resources have been reassigned before deletion.

Prerequisites

Before deleting Locations, ensure you have:

  • Access to delete Locations in EmpowerID

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Role Management > Business Roles and Locations.
  2. Select the Locations tab.
  3. Search for and locate the Location you want to delete.
  4. Click the drop-down menu beside the Location and select Delete Location. Delete Location Option
  5. In the confirmation dialog, review the Location name to ensure you are deleting the correct location.
  6. Click Yes to delete the Location, or click No to cancel. Delete Confirmation Dialog

Verify the Results

After deleting the Location:

  1. The Location is removed from the list on the Locations tab.
  2. Search for the deleted Location by name to confirm it no longer appears in the system.
  3. Verify that child locations beneath the deleted location are also removed from the location hierarchy.
