Remove People from Business Role and Location Combinations

Remove people from Business Role and Location (BRL) combinations when they no longer require the associated access. Removing a person from a BRL immediately revokes all Access Levels, Management Role memberships, and resource access granted through that combination. Ensure alternative access arrangements are in place if the person still requires access to the resources.

Prerequisites​

Before removing people from BRL combinations, ensure you have:

  • Access to manage Business Role and Location combinations

Procedure​

  1. Navigate to Role Management > Business Roles and Locations.
  2. Select the Allowed Combinations tab.
  3. Search for and locate the target Business Role and Location combination.
  4. Click the Business Role and Location link to open its View page. Business Role and Location Link

  5. Select the Members tab.
  6. Expand the All People in Business Role and Location accordion.
  7. Search for and select people to remove:
    • Enter the person's name in the search field
    • Select the checkbox for the person's record Select Person to Remove
    • Repeat for each person you want to remove
    • To cancel removal of someone before submitting, click Removed and then click Remove next to their name Cancel Person Removal
  8. Click Submit to commit the removals.

Verify the Results​

After removing people from the BRL combination:

  1. The View page refreshes and displays the updated BRL combination.
  2. In the All People in Business Role and Location accordion, verify the people you removed no longer appear in the members list.
  3. Search for the removed people by name to confirm they are no longer members of the BRL.
  4. (Optional) Verify access was revoked:
    • Navigate to Identity Admin > People
    • Search for a removed person
    • Confirm they no longer have the BRL assignment and associated Management Role memberships
