Assign Management Roles to Business Role and Location Combinations

Assign Management Roles to Business Role and Location (BRL) combinations to grant bundled permissions and resource access to all members of that combination. When you assign a Management Role to a BRL, every person in that BRL automatically inherits all Access Levels defined in the Management Role.

Prerequisites​

Before assigning Management Roles to BRL combinations, ensure you have:

  • Access to modify Business Role and Location combinations

Procedure​

  1. Navigate to Role Management > Business Roles and Locations.
  2. Select the Allowed Combinations tab.
  3. Search for and locate the target Business Role and Location combination.
  4. Click the Business Role and Location link to open its View page. Business Role and Location Link

  5. Select the Access tab.
  6. Expand the Management Role Membership Granted By Business Role and Location accordion.
  7. Search for and select Management Roles to assign:
    • Enter the Management Role name in the search field
    • Click the Management Role tile in the search results to add it Assign Management Role to BRL
    • Repeat for each Management Role you want to assign
    • To remove a role before submitting, click Added and then click Remove next to the role name Remove Management Role Before Submit
  8. Click Submit to commit your changes.

Verify the Results​

After submitting your Management Role assignments:

  1. The View page refreshes and displays the updated BRL combination.
  2. In the Management Role Membership Granted By Business Role and Location accordion, confirm the Management Roles you assigned appear in the list.
  3. Click on a Management Role name to view its details and verify the assignment is active.
  4. (Optional) Verify a member of the BRL received the expected Management Role membership by checking their role assignments in their identity profile.
